R. Kalashyan & Partners company provides various legal services in the field of Intellectual Property Rights (IPR) protection, in particular:

a) representing foreign and domestic clients in the litigation of copyright and neighboring rights, patents on invention, industrial designs, trademarks, trade names, trade secrets, and other unfair competition matters in the Republic of Armenia and assisting them in coordinating related foreign and domestic litigation;

b) counseling clients about the acquisition, licensing and exploitation of domestic and foreign IPR in all fields of technology and intellectual activity;

c) obtaining IP rights for domestic and foreign clients in respect of all IP objects and in diverse fields of technology and intellectual activity;

d) representing clients in connection with administrative proceedings related to intellectual property including patent reexaminations, patent interferences, trademark oppositions, trademark cancellations;

e) assistance to the National Agency on Intellectual Property in drafting of the amendments to the existing IPR legislation.

For covering required expenses incurred by our company during the management of copyrights and neighboring rights, we usually carry out the following deductions from the collected royalties for the use of relevant object:

a) within the territory of the Armenia - 10%;

b) abroad - 15%

In respect of copyrights and neighboring rights matters client shall pay a retaining fee of (estimated cost) towards our costs and services which is due in advance.

As regards the industrial property rights, please find attached the form of our Power of Attorney and the Price List of our services, which are usually rendered without any retaining fee, except for renewal of a mark and filing a request to conduct a trademark search in official data bases of marks registered in the Republic of Armenia, marks having effect of registration in the Republic of Armenia, as well as, marks filed for registration (in the latter case, a client shall transfer on our bank account a prescribed official fee as a retaining fee, amounting to about 52 (or 103) US$ for each class of goods and. services).(see Folder "Legislation")
